The Role

We are looking for a highly organised, confident and compassionate School Receptionist and Administrator to be the welcoming face of Dovecote School. This is a varied and rewarding role at the heart of our school community. You will be the first point of contact for students, families, professionals, and visitors, offering calm, efficient support in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.


This role also includes:

  • Leading first aid across the school, coordinating supplies, training, and emergency response
  • Taking responsibility for student attendance, following up on absences, and producing reports
  • Providing high-level administrative and reception support
  • Ensuring safeguarding and confidentiality are prioritised at all times

We are seeking someone who:

  • Has excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Brings energy, resilience, and a “can-do” approach
  • Is confident using IT systems and can juggle priorities with grace
  • Has previous experience working in a school setting
  • Is committed to inclusive practice and understands the needs of neurodivergent learners
